Thank you for coming to join us for our 4th Post Graduate Course, RED 4. This year, we chose to Review, Engage, Discuss issues in Internal Medicine.
For two days, we took the time to REVIEW Back to Basics of Medicine. From the mundane to the aberrant topics of Anemia, Tuberculosis, Tumor markers and Cancer, Diabetes, Coronary Artery Disease in women, Thyroid nodules, Donography and Dermatologic emergencies.
Together we ENGAGED the experts in the different multidisciplinary approach to daily diagnostic and therapeutic dilemmas in internal medicine, back to basics in the ordering and interpretation of common diagnostic conundrums. We also got updates on Hepatitis, Kidney supplements and Osteoarthritis.
This year, we partnered with our colleagues from the Department of Family Medicine and discussed simple and out of the ordinary case scenarios in family and occupational medicine. We sincerely thank Dr. Concepcion Tautjo and Dr. Jesica Pepito for having been our hosts as we DISCUSSED Dementia and Patient Risk Stratification.
We ended this year's course on the lighter side. A look good, feel good lecture on how to value oneself by a guest lecturer, Miss Maria Virginia Valmoria Visitacion. We got in touch with our inner selves and learned to appreciate and give importance to ourselves more.
Yet, it was not purely learning, but we had fun too. A lucky few went home with great prizes.
Indeed, it was a fruitful and productive two days of fun and learning ALL FOR CHARITY.
